Who we help in Rest of Europe

We help business owners prepare applications and connect with independent lenders that lend across borders, with expert advice to improve your chances of approval.

All financing is arranged in USD.

Exporters and manufacturers

Mid-sized producers selling machinery, components and goods to buyers who pay in dollars.

Importers and distributors

Companies buying equipment, raw materials or stock priced in USD.

Ecommerce and brands

Online sellers that buy from overseas manufacturers in dollars.

Technology and services firms

Software companies and agencies that bill international customers in USD.

Registration and documents

Lenders typically ask for:

  • Company registry extract, such as Companies House in the UK or the commercial register in Germany
  • VAT number and latest annual accounts or management accounts
  • Six months of business bank statements
  • ID for directors and beneficial owners, plus a business plan

Borrowing in USD

Most European businesses earn in euros, pounds, Swiss francs or other floating currencies, so a USD loan carries exchange-rate risk if the dollar strengthens. The risk is smaller if you also buy in dollars. The Danish krone is pegged to the euro, not the dollar. See multi-currency business loans.

Typical uses

Import payments

Pay suppliers in USD ahead of customer payments with working capital loans.

Plant and machinery

Production upgrades suit equipment financing.

New markets and sites

Opening abroad may suit expansion loans.

An illustration

A Polish furniture maker buys timber and hardware priced in USD and sells in euros. It needs USD 110,000 over four months before a seasonal order is paid. Its registry extract, annual accounts, bank statements and a short business plan go to lenders that fund cross-border; the lender sets the terms.

Local points to know

Lending rules in the EU and UK apply to the lender, and anti-money-laundering checks mean directors and beneficial owners will be asked for ID and ownership details. Requirements differ by country. We do not give legal or tax advice.
